Working in a toy store sounds fun, but not when you're in customer service. People will complain about everything. =S But they come to pass. =P Wakaka.

A lady tried to steal baby clothes the other day. Floor associates were following her around the store so I guess she figured she was being watched. The week before that, there was another lady who tried to steal something too. Manager got pissed because he had to chase her down a block away from the store... it ruined his nice shoes. haha!

Oh the fun of being an employee. It's a totally different experience from being a customer in a store. It's not that bad actually. At least in customer service, I get to interact with people... not objects. lol! As long as I don't unlearn the Dee-smile, I'll be good. =) My co-workers are fun too. There's an old lady who doesn't like me for some reason... oh well, I can't please everyone but other than that I'm meeting a lot of good people. 

Oh I got my first pay from this job last Friday! *Victory Dance* I gotta find a gift for my love's birthday. He's turning 21.. haha his debut. I want to do something special for him. ^^ Like... buy him T-Points. LOL JOKES! Hmm~ I want to dress up and go somewhere fancy. ^^ *Googles for a restaurant*

Anyways, I'm out. Going to go to Square One with Kim and Ate Jeline. *head ache*

I haven't been on friendster in awhile. I kinda had a really bad experience with it. lol. It was a nice surpirse though when I logged in. I received a message from a childhood friend.

I don't know why he's calling me "tita," because we're kinda the same age. Though it's really sweet that he remembers my birthday because I don't remember his. LOL. We were in the same class in grade one. =) We grew up in the same street, too. I wonder how everyone else is doing. I miss the Philippines dearly. I can't wait to go back this coming February.

Then.. there's also the not-so-surprising messages that made me delete my first friendster account. I can't believe that account got so popular. -_-'' I remember I was even given an offer to be someone's online girlfriend and he said he'll send 100 dollars per week. Oh boy, .. it was tempting. LOL JKS. I told a guy friend about it and he said he'll pretend to me if he gets the money. buaha... Anyways, here's something new...

Grats to the new president of the United States of America. (or should I say, the world?) When Harper won the Canadian elections, people weren't really making such a big deal.. it kinda just happened and that's it. People don't post up on their MSN or Facebook saying "Harper FTW!" But even though Canadians didn't vote for the new President of the USA ~ they're cheering the guy on. This guy is crazily influencing the entire human race. Even the design world! There's a dingbat font called ObamaBats.

Dang man, he got the power. I honestly have no opinion about it.. but I should... right? I don't know. He isn't my president but I know one way or another I'll be affected by this man. So I'll pray for Obama, his family, the nation he's leading... (and again, should I say the world?)

Since the world is becoming more earth friendly, flight companies are trying to go with the flow. They are allowing animals to be passengers. Yesterday, a Panda named Xing from China, was the very first animal to experience this new program.

Oh my gosh.. I am totally kidding. That's a stuffed animal. LOL!

So I really don't have much time to plan this whole birthday thing for Pao. Since most of my time will be eaten by work (and Talisman). HAHA! Even if Pao wants to go Mini Golfing we're all gonna go Bowling. Just have to know when and where. A bowling place that has glow in the dark during the weekends... and is near a Taco Bell. Now if anyone have any suggestions, please feel free to shoot me an email. =)

I am blessed~ from when I rise up in the morning, until I lay my head to rest. I feel You near me, You soothe me when I'm weary. Oh Lord, for all the worst and all the best... I am blessed.

Ok, I admit. I accidentally told someone because I didn't know it was supposed to be a secret. Then my sister told me I wasn't suppose to tell anyone so I went to rumour-control mode and told Tita Lynda that it was an exclusive information.

BUT...

My mom who said it was a secret... was the one who told everyone. I don't know why... she probably wanted to congratulated, too since Tita Sol got a new renovated kitchen. -_-'' I still say don't spread the word too much... (this goes out to anyone reading it and knows about it) but I really can't stop information like that to spread. -_-'

Chyeah I'm awesome!

 I wake up not feeling like going to work... then next thing I remember is that I'm standing in that little box called "Customer Service Desk" and working. Then the light turns into darkness ~ I'm out. There goes 8 (or 9) hours of my day.

It's been only about a month but it already feels like I'm a veteran. LOL! Okay, maybe not... but it already feels like a lot. They warned me that working at service will make me hate people. Haha... Though not really. It makes me appreciate the people working in service. Oh man, all the things I have to go through, just so I get paid. If I knew then what I was going into, I wouldn't be here. But now I know, I guess I'm okay with it. It's a learning experience.

The best lessson I learned so far: The customer is NOT always right. =P

I never asked to work in customer service. I wanted to be just a cashier or a floor associate. But it feels good when I ask people, "Is there anything else I can do for you today?" and they say, "No, no. That's beautiful. Thanks!" (Yes, they do say it's beautiful when I do refunds... LOL. More money for them).  Or when people remember me helping them so they come for some more Diane. =) Though to be honest, I don't remember most of them. They say, "You were such a big help last time, do you remember me?" I just smile and I probably look confused. LOL.

But as much as I love making customers happy... there are some who just want to get what they want and would throw a fit if they don't. Usually I just give them to the manager. The worst people are the ones who yell because they don't agree with the policy (because they want to return an old, used, discontinued, and non-defective item) but when asked if they want to speak with the manager, they say no and keep yelling. Like... I can't change the policy for them. Plus, they bought the thing half a year ago... -_-'. Also, the people who want to refund but the credit card they used to buy it isn't the same with the credit card they want to use to refund the item. I don't care if it's your husband who bought it, it's STILL not the same card. GET OVER IT SISTAH! All I'm saying... if you need anything DONE, customer service people are just told what to do. So if they ask if you'd like to talk to the manager, say YES. Then they'll do something about it. These policies are there to protect the customers and the company from scammers. -_-' People just like to be selfish and get their way.

BUT YES, be nice and be patient with the associates and they'll give you great service. (Does not apply to all, lol!)

Working in retail is probably not one of those experiences people would "cherish". But I'm quite fond of the group of people I'm working with. I know I'm only a seasonal employee but I'm going to miss them when I go. Wahh...

P.S. I like paging. =) LOL!

December is here soon, I can already feel it! (And I don't mean the snow. lol) =) I feel good. I'm excited for Christmas and New Years. Why?

I don't know. Maybe because I am going to Joshua Revolution 2008. Or maybe because I'm not poor. Or I'm gaining weight but I'm ready for Christmas food. LOL! Yeah boi. 10 pounds, I am ready to devour you. haha!

I just feel good all over, like its Christmas everyday. No matter how many customers try to ruin my day. No matter how cold it is outside and it always feels like I'm underdressing when I can't even move my arms because of the thickness of my clothes. No matter how long they leave me all by myself in the customer service desk. No matter how long I have to endure with no food when I'm not home. No matter how many times my mom flips the channel while I'm watching a really good show. No matter how long I struggle to fit into those jeans because I'm not a size double zero anymore. (LOL!) No matter how many fights I get with Pao. (Which isn't much lately.. weird ... LOL!) Etc, etc, etc...

I still feel good.

Because it's not about having it all crease-free. It's the creases that gives life character. =)

My God doesn't need me, but he wants me. You are AWESOME!
